Common Tips for Quick and Permanent Weight Loss

Weight loss is 95% mental and only 5% action. Many overweight and obese people will tell you about their plans for weight loss from the very beginning. The idea of losing weight thrills them and they may even check in with you periodically and then - the weight loss talks stop. When weight loss gets complex, in the third or fourth week in most cases, the novelty of being lean is replaced with pain, hunger and a mental voice saying, "Stop! It's okay to be you!" Unfortunately, for many people carrying an extra 30, 40, 50 pounds or more around on their frame is not okay.
1) Why Do You Want to Lose Weight? When a dieter first asks this question, they will often answer till a programmed response. "I want to feel better", "I want to look better in my jeans" or even "I want to be healthier." These are all great reasons, but none of them are TRULY why you want to lose weight. This will be far more powerful to answer the question honestly than stating an overused reason.
Cook once in a week, freeze and reheat. The reason works so well is because the stress involved with planning three diet meals a day plus, in some cases, planning meals for spouses and children, can cause kitchen burn out very quickly. Every Sunday, you must cook sufficient amounts of lean meats, fresh vegetables and whole grain starches. Combine these into small meals and freeze. These meals are now healthy alternatives to fast food and tend to carry lower sodium levels than prepared weight loss meals.
3) Schedule your gym workouts. In the beginning, very few people love to workout - so don't. Instead of thinking of the period that you spend in the gym as a workout, think of it as a date with yourself. Swimming, walking in a park or riding your bike through the neighbourhood are all fantastic additions to a natural weight loss program. These events do, however, need to be planned in advance. Choose the days and stick with those days. At first, workout only three days a week, then adds more days, as you want to. The key is to just move more!
Get a buddy who is NOT trying to lose weight. Your buddy needs to be there to support you. That support does not need to be returned. Weight loss is a difficult path sometimes, and two people trying weight loss at the same time can lead to two people jumping off the weight loss wagon at the same time. The buddy needs to call every morning, afternoon and evening. Tell him or her, in advance, that you will get nasty from time to time, so just ignore it!
Weight loss is an entire body change. The foods we eat affect our weight, intestinal system and mood straightaway. When natural weight loss is chosen, the body can return a more healthy state without the chances of side effects and dependence on weight loss medications.

I know that when I stay within my Weight Watchers points I lose - when I creep up in points I don't lose. BUT, you are right in that you have to make choices consistently and good ones.
